In a world where we laugh at Britney Spears for what an idiot she is…and where we seem to revel in watching people self destruct…sometimes we forget that there are people out there that are doing good things. Case in point – Shakira.

She has donated $40 million dollars to help fix problems in Latin American areas devastated by earthquakes and other natural causes…PLUS another $5 million to help educate children in those same areas.

Can you imagine that? Dropping $45 Million dollars on people you don’t even know? Sure, you can be cynical and say “she’s got more than enough, what’s $45 million to her?”…but look around at all the other people out there with Millions that don’t do anything like this…and I can assure you, you’re going to notice if $45 million dollars is suddenly gone.

This is an inspiring move on her part, and I hope other celebrities follow in her cute little footsteps in helping causes they believe in.
