Former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle was released from a Florida jail on $10,000.00 bail after allegedly failing to properly register as a sex offender. Pyle was designated as a sex offender after pleading guilty in 1993 to molesting two Jacksonville Beach girls.

On Monday, he was arrested and accused of failing to register as a sex offender in person as required by law in Florida. Also, according to the Florida-Times Union, authorities also said he used a false address to renew his driver’s license.

Pyle has denied doing anything illegal.

“Of course, I’m registered in the state of Florida where the incident happened. I just think they (the police) got it wrong.”
