Britney Spears missed her court-ordered deposition in her ongoing custody trial on Wednesday, due to an undetermined but “general” illness.  She was supposed to give her deposition under oath at the Los Angeles offices of K-Fed’s attorney at 10:00 am, but she was a no-show. 

Sources say when she didn’t turn up, legal counsel started without her and took testimony from her former assistant Alli Sims and her ex-manager, Larry Rudolph.

Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan said:

“I was told of a general (medical) condition, and Spears felt she couldn’t attend.”

In an email sent to People.com, Britney friend Sam Lufti tells the site that the pop star is suffering from anxiety:

“She’s sick, both physically and high anxiety. Millions of press outside. It’s too much.”

A new date for the deposition has been scheduled but has not been disclosed.

Wrestler Hulk Hogan and his wife, Linda, are reportedly disagreeing on practically everything in their divorce proceedings - from alimony to child support to their wedding date.

Ah yes – another reality TV marriage goes down in flames and this one could very well be the ugliest yet, especially since Hogan (whose real name is Terry Bollea), has filed a counter-petition to wife Linda’s divorce suit.  The “Hogan Knows Best” couple separated in September, a mere month after their son, Nick, crashed his car and left passenger and friend John Graziano in a coma. Graziano, 22, who is an Iraq war veteran, is expected to spend the rest of his life in a nursing home. 

Linda Bollea, 48, is seeking primary custody of Nick, who is 17 and will turn 18 in July, while Terry, 54,  disagrees, saying their son should be able to decide for himself exactly who he wishes to live with.  As far as alimony, Terry says hands off the money – he believes Linda is more than capable of supporting herself (he did say he would continue to provide her health insurance, however).

The Bolleas, who own more than $9.5 million in real estate, even disagree on the date they were married – Linda says it was December 12, 1983, while Terry argues that it was December 18th. 

Court records support his claim.

Music producer J.R. Rotem has denied reports that former flame Britney Spears is pregnant with his baby. 

Rotem told People:

“There is absolutely no truth to this.”

In Touch Weekly seems to be standing by the claim that Spears e-mailed friends on November 14th, claiming to be four weeks pregnant with Rotem’s child. Somewhere in the mix, In Touch also claimed Rotem confirmed that Spears is expecting. Jumping into the fray, Star magazine also cited multiple sources who said Miss Brit is pregnant with her third child.

But Spears’ friend, Sam Lufti, sent a text message to Ryan Seacrest, which Seacrest took the opprtunity to read on air during his KIIS-FM Los Angeles radio show Wednesday. 

Said Lufti (via Seacrest):

“It’s BS. Don’t know who made it up. J.R. doesn’t even know what’s up. It’s fake. Completely fake. We just wrapped her video. Going home to sleep.”

Spears is embroiled in a high-profile battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline for custody of their two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Rock icon Paul McCartney has been recently spotted with actress Rosanna Arquette on more than one occasion in London, which has got tongues wagging that the pair may be dating on the down low.

McCartney, who is smack dab in the middle of an ugly divorce battle with his estranged wife Heather Mills, was linked to New York businesswoman Nancy Shevell just a few weeks ago.  I guess it’s over before things really ever got started, eh?

According to Britain’s juicy tabloid, News of the World, McCartney was more recently seen strolling the grounds of a stately home with the thrice-divorced Arquette and she’s also been seen at McCartney’s house.

Asked about reports linking McCartney and Arquette, Shevell told the New York Daily News:

“I’m sorry, I don’t want to talk about it,” then turned around and went back inside her New York apartment building.

When she emerged again later, she told reporters who were hanging out by her door:

“I’m sorry I have nothing to say, but it’s OK, you’re not bothering me.”

Linda Marie Bollea has filed for divorce from her husband, pro wrestler and TV personality Terry Gene Bollea, also known as “Hulk Hogan.” Documents obtained through Florida’s Pinellas County Court Web site said Linda Bollea filed for divorce on Tuesday, November 20th, but the papers did not offer a reason.

Word of the split was first reported by WTVT, the Fox affiliate in Tampa Bay, Florida.

The couple, who were wed in 1984, have been married for 23 years. According to various reports, Terry was not made aware of the divorce until he spoke with a reporter from the St. Petersburg Times, who told him his wife filed divorce papers at a local courthouse:

Reached by phone on Friday night, Terry Bollea said he had no idea his wife had filed for divorce. When informed during the call that the paperwork was submitted on Tuesday, Bollea said politely, “Thank you for the great information,” and hung up.

He called back about five minutes later.

“I’m kind of shocked,” he said. “You caught me off-guard. My wife has been in California for about three weeks. … Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me. … I just pulled over to the side of the road for five minutes to find out what was going on here.”

Asked whether he and his wife had discussed divorce, he said, “That’s my private business.”

The couple’s son, Nick, has been charged with reckless driving involving serious bodily injury in connection with an August car crash that seriously injured a passenger in his car.
