Jessica Sierra has been ordered to remain behind bars after she entered a not guilty plea on Thursday for violating her probation when she was arrested outside a Florida bar. Sierra will remain locked up until her next court hearing, scheduled for December 20th.
The 22-year-old former American Idol contender was arrested in the wee hours on Saturday morning by Tampa Police who said Sierra was kicked out of the Full Moon Saloon, and then became combative outside. Police records indicate Sierra was drunk and had verbal and physical altercations with other patrons, hit two police officers and tried to escape when she was taken into custody. She has also been accused of being verbally abusive to police, who say the singer offered them sexual favors in exchange for her freedom.
Sierra was previously sentenced to 12 months probation after she a no contest plea in November to possession of cocaine and felony battery for hitting a man with a glass at Hyde Park Cafe in April.
Kiefer Sutherland has begun his prison sentence for a drink-driving conviction after surrendering to Los Angeles police on Wednesday. Sutherland was scheduled to turn himself in on December 21st, but due to the writer’s strike and probably nothing much to do, he made the decision to check in earlier.
The “24″ actor will serve out a 48 day sentence at Glendale City Jail, which includes spending Christmas, New Year and his birthday (December 21st) behind jail walls, where he’s expected to perform laundry and kitchen duties alongside other inmates.
Sutherland was sentenced to jail time after he was caught driving under the influence in September. He was also handed 5 years probation and must complete an 18-month alcohol education program, which includes attending weekly therapy sessions for at least six months.
Akon has pleaded not guiltyin a New York court, to endangering the welfare of a minor and harassment. The charges stem from an incident earlier this year when Akon allegedly picked up a teenage fan and did some fan-tossing from center stage into a crowd during a concert.
The hip-hop artist was released on his own recognizance following a brief court appearance on Monday and was told he does not have to be present at future court sessions because his lawyer can stand in for him. Akon’s attorney, Benjamin Brafman, said in a written statement:
“It was never Akon’s intention to violate the law. This unfortunate incident was a spontaneous reaction during a live concert that Akon deeply regrets.”

Sierra was denied bail Sunday and instead, the judge told her she may face up to 11 years in prison if she’s convicted of violating probation.

The Tampa Tribune reported Sunday that Sierra was arrested on Saturday around 2:00am at the Full Moon Saloon in Ybor City on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest. On Sunday, Sierra was being held at Orient Road Jail without bail. Sierra was sentenced to 12 months probation after she pleaded no contest two weeks on November 19th to cocaine possession and felony battery for hitting a man with a glass at the Hyde Park Cafe back in April.
Sierra, who managed to crest the Top 10 on ”American Idol” in 2005, entered a California rehabilitation facility in July and her outcome was to be documented on a reality show called “Celebrity Rehab” with Dr. Drew early sometime next year.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Shia LaBeouf was arrested in Chicago on Sunday at approximately 2:25 am for allegedly refusing to leave…wait for it…a Walgreens store.
How completely bizarre is this? Walgreens? Seriously? By the look of his mug shot, those glassy eyes and a hint of smile probably say it all, eh?
A spokesperson for the Chicago police said a security guard who works at the store called police after LaBeouf refused to leave the premises after being told several times to exit the store. The security guard signed the complaint and LaBeouf was cited on a misdemeanor count of trespassing. He was released on bail about 7 a.m., and is scheduled to appear in court on November 28 to answer the charge.
